I go through the very basic steps of the melbourne shuffle. I broke it down as well as I know how. Hope you find it usefull. And I hope you think I'm UberCool
:P
LOTS of you kept asking me to do a tute for spins. I kinda wasn't thrileld about it because it's sort of very complex, so it's hard to explain. but I got around to it finaly!
Here it is, much awaited!!! I appologise for the delay, but here we are.
As with the footwork, do it slowly first, and THEN try faster.
And I suggest you get good at feet first, and worry about arms later. but it's up to you.
Go silly and do whatever you want to!
A video I've been planning to make for weeks - switching between the shuffle and running man.
Unless you can already do both well, don't wast too much time on this yet. There's no point running too far ahead - just get better at each of them first.
Thanks Phill for filming
A LOT of you asked me to shuffle "good" to music. so here you go - Shuffling to "Avaline - Never Sever (Original mix)".
I WAS very tired from rollerblading, and the floor is grippy to my shoes, and whatever.... but I think you'll agree that this still rocks your jocks!
This video is for 2 guys: Rolie (not sure how to spell it :S ) who used to work with me on mondays, doing deliveries for an auction. he played the male stripper song to me because it reminded him of me. so this one's for you.
and Miki, who despite my incredible singing tallent, just can't recall The Time Warp!!! so the last song is for you miki - the time warp - now you know!
I've been meaning to record a video where I actually shuffle for weeks now. well I finally got around to it last night.
I wish I found a better surface to dance on, but it was past midnight, so I needed lots of light... and beggers can't be choosers.
It was fun filming this; I think I'll make some more soon.
I've been planing to do a video to see how fast I could shuffle. so here it is finally!
I made the mix in mixmeister 1st and then played it and danced away.
I'm making this video partly as a video resonse to the video to which it IS a video response TO, and also to give my thought on some of the things that were floating through my mind for the past few days
Lots of you asked for hat tricks. I don't do them myself, but I do know how to do a few basic onces, so these should start you off in the right direction.
Several people have asked me to explain the moonwalk. So a few days ago I filmed that along with the other videos. here it is.
again practice, practice, practice!
(tho this is relatively easy)
Me mixing with my new DJM 400 mixer (YAY).
Marc et Claude - Loving You 2002 (DJ Isaac rmx)
Side-Dish - Pressure (Marcel Woods Old Scool mix)
sorry about the quality of sound. next time i'll plug the output from my mixer into the camera. that way it'll be much better quality. this will do for now.
Just a few more minutes on hand movements in addition to the last video.
keep practicing repetitive movoments untill they become natural. then use that as a basis that you can add fancy moves onto.
I had to reload this video!!! it loaded half of it last time.
I already had a video along these lines, but here it is again from another perspective, with another exercise to practice, and some more proof of hops.
