Here's a non-hackers point of view of what could have happened with Stop n Swop before Rare discontinued it.
This is just a theory and not to be taken as a fact. And I don't care if this was mentioned before.

Big Boo's Haunt - Star 1: Go on A Ghost Hunt. The room with the falling platforms had 2 Boos. One was killed but the other Boo looked like it's retarded brother.
