It originates from a dance, that was meant to exorcise demons out of mentally/emotionally troubled women and was far from a comfortable or pleasing sight to watch. It has evolved into this, a visually agreeable, dance of courtship,between a woman and a man. (Who would not court those two dimples in the girl's lower back!! )

(Jaw Harp, Jew's Harp) I come from Sicily and i live in Milan. In this video, i play the jew's harp, before in black and white with sicilian cap (coppola) and after to colors in a more modern context.
