Nasa released a compilation of footage from various cameras attatched to both solid rocket boosters. Nasa TV showed all views from accention to decention. But this compilation shows the most dramatic and interesting views captured. It is still primarily a single shot from low earth orbit down to earths oceans surface.
This new ride design gives a sustained sense of weightlessness. Though the ride slowly spins. It is not a ride that has proven to cause people to get sick so it has become a success over the last couple years.
Hydra at Dorney Park in PA is a floorless coaster with a one of a kind element. It does a complete inversion right out of the load station before the lift hill.
This is a video from the Album "These friends of mine" by Rosie Thomas. It is her latest release. This video is available for download at her website rosiethomas.com There is also another video "Say hello". For best quality go there and download the free stuff and buy her album!
With the success of Magnum XL 200 Cedar point decided to build the tallest and fastes wooden coaster. This on-ride video does not do it justice. The ride is fast, long, and mean! It definitately has that out of control feeling that wood coasters can give. It was built for the 1991 season. It's a very big roller coaster.
Parent company Cedarfair LP decided to introduce "The Patriot". The midwests tallest inverted rollercoaster to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. This ride is largly based on "Talon" at their park in PA but it is a much more of an adrenaline ride. With more consistant speed and power.
This roller coaster was the first to break 200ft. It was built in 1989 and set the pace for the "coaster wars' for the next 10 years. Parks continued to top one another by 10ft or 5ft until Cedar Point decided to recapture the world record again by building Millennium Force for the 2000 season.
Cedar point once again gears up to build the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world. 420ft and 120mph. Though the ride is only 16 seconds long the experience stay's with you for some time. It's smooth and fast and no on-ride video can do it justice.
This is kind of an imaginative creation. I wanted to create something that is like a dark indoor ride but sprawling and outdoors at night or dusk. I spent many hours designing the environment on this one.
This is one of the first coasters that I designed that I was satisfied with. It's an inverted coaster designed for overall fun rather than intense speed and height
This is a spinning Guerslaur coaster I designed. It's a little less compact than what is seen in reality but still a more compact coaster than I'm used to designing.
Last ride of the night! This is a more straight forward design. Built for speed and height. The color scheme looks good in the night setting. The G forces of this ride are very light considering the more intense layout
the amusement park in the center of the Mall of America on a slow wednsday late in the season. Some of the rides are going. If you go there you should ride the Log flume and the "Mystery mine ride"... one of the best motion simulator rides around even though it has an average ride length of about 3 minutes. There's plenty of other rides also that are not shown here.
This is one of my favorite roller coasters. The pacing or "orchestration of elements" is perfect. The fun factor is very high though it does not break any world records it has all the right stuff. It is located at Dorney Park in PA.
I.S.S. mission 116 is well under way. The new solar arrays that track the sun during orbital day are functioning and the new and permant power supply configuration is in place. This is the latest video from nasa.gov showing various P.O.V.'s of the night launch. Similar views as the Atlantis 115 mission but during the night.
